New group

SOrry it's been a while since i have last updated blog. Reason being with all messing about with groups for a couple of weeks i felt groupless.
Having met the new group last week, special thanks to Lucy for getting back to my emails I have a new group and new idea to work with for project.

To clarify. After being switched groups again I am now working with this groups idea. Previously at the early stages it was the one about the stalker who kills the girl's boyfriend and tries to get with her.

Having seen the rushes it is obvious this idea has somewhat evolved. The death of boyfriend now being scrapped. The obsessive housemate kept but in this incarnation of story just tries splitting up the couple.

The idea seems to me a short version of a Eastenders episode lol.

However while at first i have had some concerns about would it make five minutes with footage the group had. And is there enough alternate shots Susannah has expressed this is fine. Also the group have said they may film some extra footage. Which is a relief.

I think this notion has evolved from working on Night Journey in editing class. In that one bit of work i learnt the invaluableness of cut aways.

I do feel this idea is very straight forward and maybe plain as it seems to end suddenly as if missing something, the whole what happened next leaves the audience unforfilled in this occasion. There are however some good shots, i like the one from upstairs looking down at the couple at the door. I like the shots through window and when stalker presses her ear to door.

I think this can be a good piece. Think it will be a bit different to adapt to having two editors.

Anyways this is my first update. Will add more later.

Ideas and development for 5-10 min film

Hey up Mathew and anyone who gets added to this group.
Idea that seems to be one we're running with is what me and Mathew worked on in one of early exercises.

Two people, brother and sister,
Brother is a serious office worker. He is stuck in a routine in life. Ever since his sister ran away due to a arguement with their parents he has tried to be future of family and sacrificed his own life and desires.
She is a recklose avoiding anything stressful. SHe is laid back and travels around playing her guitar to earn money here and there.

The plot is he sees her playing on street one day. After trying to talk to her and her avoiding him all out refusing to go home, he finds the only way to bring his sister back is by entering her world of music.
He performs wherever she goes. The result ends in a contest between the two.
